T&Cs apply, 18+
The 13th game of the CPL would be a very important one for hosts St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. They would have to win this one against St Lucia Zouks to keep their hopes alive for the rest of the season. They have already lost four out of their five games this season. The Zouks on the other hand also have struggled with a single win so far in three games and their players still don’t look at their best.
In the six games between the two sides that have seen results, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots have won four of them including the last three out of four. The Zouks have their problems with the batting and haven’t yet won a game in this venue. It will need a very strong performance from the Zouks to defeat the Patriots at this venue.

The last game’s loss against Guyana Amazon Warriors has put Carlos Brathwaite’s side in a corner. They have four losses in their five games so far and shall need to win this one to create a chance for themselves in the play-offs. The batting has been poor and the skipper would want his batsmen to do well in the upcoming game.
Devon Thomas and Evin Lewis will need to provide the side with a good start. Lewis offers more strength to the batting than Mohammad Hafeez at the top and should play ahead of him. Laurie Evans, Jason Mohammad, and Shamarh Brooks will need to fire in the middle as they have had a tough season so far. In the lower order, the side would expect a good show from Fabian Allen and Carlos Brathwaite especially the skipper who has a bad tournament with the bat.
The bowling attack is looking slightly better and Sheldon Cottrell has troubled the opponents so far. Alzari Joseph his new ball partner needs to apply pressure on the opponents. The side would expect to see improvement of performance from the likes of Fabian Allen, Brathwaite and Rayad Emrit who are yet to shine with the ball.
Akeem Jordan, Mohammad Hafeez, Carlos Brathwaite, Kjorn Ottley, Laurie Evans, Sheldon Cottrell, Usama Mir, RR Emrit, Devon Thomas, Evin Lewis, Fabian Allen

Darren Sammy’s team played well in the last game against the Jamaica Tallawahs to register their first win for the season. While their bowlers didn’t have the best day their batsmen were up to the challenge. They don’t have the best of records against the Patriots and this is something the skipper would be looking to change as they go into the next game.
Andre Fletcher and Rahkeem Cornwall put up a wonderful show with the bat in the last game with a hundred plus stand and would look to do the same in the next game. The middle-order is very strong with John Campbell, Colin de Grandhomme and Daren Sammy in the side. With Thisara Perera in the lower middle-order, the batting has good punch.
The bowlers had a decent outing in the last game where Obed McCoy and Kesrick Williams looked in good form with the new ball. Lasith Malinga’s entry adds several points to this bowling attack. The skipper would expect Fawad Ahmed and Hardus Viljoen to keep the line tight to restrict their opponents.

Warner Park, St Kitts is surely a paradise for the batsmen and there is little support for the bowlers especially the fast bowlers. The pitch is flat and this allows the batsmen to hit the ball hard. Spinners who have the courage to flight the ball do get the rewards.
The wicket has looked great for batting so far at this venue. We have already seen two high scoring encounters at this ground this season where batsmen are finding it easy to score runs. While the wicket would behave well in both the innings the side winning the toss is likely to bat first and eye a huge score.
The season has been bad for the hosts St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Though they have a good batting line-up the side has failed as far as consistency is concerned. The St Lucia Zouks also have had their troubles and prior to the last game, they did look in bad shape. The Zouks have a bad record against the Patriots and this is likely to play in their minds. Going into the game we expect the hosts to have a slight edge thanks to their strong batting line-up.
We predict St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to win!
