The sixth game of IPL 2021 will be played between Royal Challengers Banglore and SunRisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Royal Challengers won their first game of the season against Mumbai Indians on the same ground on the last ball of the match by 2 wickets. RCB’s Harshal Patel became the first player to take 5 wickets against MI. Skipper Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell scored 33 & 39 runs at the start of the innings. But it was RCB’s Mr. dependable AB de Villiers who came to the rescue when RCB needed 54 runs in 5 overs. AB scored 48 runs in 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes to help RCB register a win on the final ball.
SunRisers lost their first game of this IPL season against Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR set a target of 188 runs for SRH. Rashid Khan was the standout bowler with 2 wickets on 24 runs in his 4 overs spell. Chasing 188, SRH lost Warner and Saha early. Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow came to the rescue of SRH. Both scored 61 and 55 runs respectively but were not good enough to help SRH win.
The second game will be crucial for both teams. A win can take RCB to the top 2 positions of the points table. This will also make sure that they won’t rely on other teams’ NRR in the later stages of the IPL. A win for SRH will open their points account and can take them straight into the top 4 positions in the points table.

SunRisers will be unchanged for the second game. They had a good start. Their only problem was that they couldn’t accelerate the innings when needed. It also showed the hole in the middle order of the SRH. With top-order going back to the pavilion at an early stage, there is no one in the middle who can take SRH to win the game. SRH Also missed Kane Williamson in the first match. He is still recovering and yet not sure to play the second match.
Warner and Saha are ideal to start the innings. Manish Pandey should accelerate the scorecard after spending some time on the field. He came in the second over of the match and remained not out. Yet SRH lost by 10 runs. SRH should drop Nabi to make a room for Jason Holder. The flat track has no movement for spin bowlers unless you are Rashid Khan. One more thing SRH could not figure out is their batting order. In a crunch situation, Abdul Samad might get a chance up the order to play his natural game without any restrictions on the mind.
Rashid Khan took 2 wickets for 24 runs. He will be continuing to lead the bowling department for SRH. But Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natrajan, and Sandeep Sharm who went for the runs in the first game have to find their mojo in order to bring back the most lethal bowling attack from the last season back in the action.

Royal Challengers will be looking forward to sorting their opening problems. Virat Kohli has already confirmed that he will be opening for RCB all season. RCB promoted Washington Sundar with Kohli but he failed miserably. If Devdutt Paddikal is available for the selection the RCB management will send him to open with the skipper. Rajat Patidar should be given more chances to bat at the 3rd position. Patidar had an amazing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he scored 221 runs in 5 matches at a strike rate of 153.47. He can ease some pressure on the middle order of the RCB.
Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villers are perfect choices for the 4th and 5th spots. Maxwell has to convert his short innings into big as he has been promoted up the order. Left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed might lose his place if Paddikal comes in. In such a scenario Washington Sundar will be sent in the middle order.
RCB’s bowling department will be headed by Harshal Patel. Skipper Kohli has confirmed that Patel will be the dedicated death overs specialist for RCB. Kyle Jamieson had a good debut. He and Mohammed Siraj will open the bowling attack for RCB. Chahal who had a forgettable game will be roaring to spin a web to trap SRH batsman.

The venue for this match is MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Famously known as Chepauk, the MA Chidambaram Stadium will be hosting SRH, RCB, KKR, and Mumbai in the first phase of the tournament
Out of 84 T20 matches played here, the team batting first has won 48 times while the team batting second has won 34 times. Therefore, the team winning the toss should bat first.
RCB and SRH both are desperate to win the game. RCB wants 2 points from SRH who is on low confidence. While SRH want the win to grab their first points. Though RCB had a win in the first game, they had a scare in the middle. Therefore, RCB have to be very careful this time as SRH is quite an able team to defeat a not so settled team like RCB.
We predict that the SRH will defeat the RCB.
