Two of the stronger sides of BBL 2019-20 - Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers would battle it out in their first head to head of the season. The previous edition of BBL witnessed Sydney Sixers outwit Adelaide Strikers on both matches of the league stages, however, things may change this time around considering the Strikers' current squad and performance exhibited by their players in the matches competed till now.
Led by wicket-keeper Alex Carey, Adelaide Strikers lost out the match against Sydney Thunder by a margin of 3-runs and would look to rectify their mistakes in the coming T20. Meanwhile, the Moises Henriques-led Sixers have mustered wins in their last two matches and would look to script a hat-trick at Coffs Harbour.

Josh Philippe (173 runs in 6 innings) and Daniel Hughes (144 runs in 6 innings) have been the core contributors for the Sixers in BBL 2019-20, with Philippe going berserk in the first few overs. James Vince (26-ball 41) and Jordan Silk (26-ball 36) were the vital cogs in the lately concluded match against Renegades and would be banking on their big-hitting abilities in the coming games as well. Skipper Moises Henriques hasn't been at the best with the bat and would be itching to get those textbook shots onboard.
Tom Curran is leading the bowling charts for the Sixers with 9 wickets in 6 innings at an average of 24.66. Not to forget, he bats very well down the order and given a chance could single-handedly take on the opposition without breaking a sweat. Pacer Ben Dwarhuis (7 wickets in 6 innings) and spinner Ben Manenti (6 wickets in 4 innings) have been highly instrumental behind Sixers' restricting the opposition within a given total and would look to affect the dismissals in their early spells.
Jack Edwards, B Dwarshuis, Jackson Bird, Justin Avendano, Josh Hazlewood, Tom Curran, James Vince, Jordan Silk, Josh Philippe, Daniel Hughes, Lloyd Pope
Alex Carey (205 runs in 4 innings), Jonathan Wells (187 runs in 5 innings), and Jake Weatherald (204 runs in 4 innings) are among the highest run-getters of BBL 2019-20. Weatherald was in a great nick in the recent outing against Thunder wherein he scored 37-ball 52 and would look to imitate his performance in the coming T20. Philip Salt hasn't fired so far and being a top-order player would be expected to take on their arch-nemesis in the much-coveted encounter.
In the bowling department, all eyes would be on Afghani spinner Rashid Khan (7 wickets in 5 innings) who has been highly effective with the ball and occasionally with the bat, as was visible in the match against Sydney Thunder wherein he scored 18-ball 40 comprising 4-fours and 3-sixes. Pacers Peter Siddle (5 wickets in 4 innings) and Wes Agar (5 wickets in 5 innings) have been consistent with their line and lengths and will look to tear through the rival lineup in the forthcoming T20.
Michael Neser, Harry Conway, Philip Salt, Matthew Short, Alex Carey, Jake Weatherald, Peter Siddle, Rashid Khan, CL White, Billy Stanlake, JW Wells
Clouds will circle around the stadium for the majority of the duration. The temperature would glide between 22-25 degrees Celsius with the possibility of heavy outpour in the second innings. Pacers should get the swing and seam movements taking into account the overcast condition.
Not many matches have been played at the venue so any scoreline above 150 could be expected as a par total.
There's a chance for the rains to play a spoilsport in the latter half of the innings and thus the toss winning team should look to bowl first on the coming occasions. With DLS coming into play, the teams batting second will have a considerable advantage in terms of a reduced target to chase.
Both Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers have delivered top-notch exhibitions form day one of BBL 2019-20 and although it is surely going to a high-octane encounter, the result is likely to wind up in the Strikers' favor.
The likes of Alex Carey, Jake Weatherald, Jonathan Wells and Rashid Khan are enjoying a rich vein of form and would look to dominate the Sixers at Coffs Harbour.
We are expecting Adelaide Strikers to win!
