Sydney Sixers have had a stupendous run so far and would look to tear through the Hurricanes' lineup in their second faceoff of the season in what could be a perfect opportunity for the Sixers to settle the scores. The previous faceoff witnessed the Hobart Hurricanes win by a margin of 25-runs, however, situations may turn this time around with Sydney Sixers putting up top-notch exhibitions in the last few matches.
On the other hand, Hobart Hurricanes have had a torrid run this season in spite of starting the T20 campaign on a winning note. The absence of James Faulkner, D'Arcy Short, and Riley Meredith has hit hard onto the Men in Purple who in their absence have lost their last three matches and would ploy hard to avoid a fourth at SCG. Neither their batting nor their bowling has been up to the mark which has been the cause of their failures in the matches competed so far.

Opener Josh Philippe (270 runs in 9 innings) has come up with decent performances off late and along with the top-order duo of James Vince (189 runs in 8 innings) and Daniel Hughes (205 runs in 9 innings) would be entrusted the task of scoring the bulk of runs for Sixers.
Skipper Moises Henriques (25-ball 41) was hitting the ball out of the park in the previous outing and would look to extend his stay in the middle. Jordan Silk (131 runs in 7 innings) is another fine prospect who could be a match-winner in the middle-overs, especially with his ability to accelerate the innings according to the situation.
Bowling wise, Tom Curran (14 wickets in 9 innings) will spearhead the attack for the Sixers, and with pacer Lloyd Pope (10 wickets in 8 innings) will look to stop the outflow of runs in the powerplay and death overs. Ben Dwarshuis (10 wickets in 9 innings) has been instrumental with his swinging deliveries. Not to forget, Dwarshuis scored a blistering 17-ball 42 in the lately concluded match against Melbourne Stars, which gives a glimpse of his big-hitting ability. Jackson Bird can be a menace in his initial spell and with his accurate line and lengths can pose as a match-winner for the Sixers.

Caleb Jewell (171 runs in 9 innings) and Ben McDermott (167 runs in 9 innings) have been the few positives in the batting department in the ongoing T20 season. George Bailey (126 runs in 6 innings) has scored a decent amount of runs whilst batting in the middle. Skipper Matthew Wade hasn't been establishing a foothold so far and would look to put his experience of over 100 T20s to good use in the coming feud. David Miller has had a dreadful run with the bat and it is about time the southpaw delivers to his potential.
In the bowling department, spinner Qais Ahmed (11 wickets in 9 innings) with his googlies and leg-breaks is topping the charts for the Hurricanes in this season. Pacer Scott Boland (7 wickets in 4 innings) has been on spot in the limited opportunities received and along with Thomas Rogers would look to rip apart the rival attack at SCG. Left-arm orthodox Clive Rose (2/26) was quite economical in the previous outing and will opt for similar tactics versus Henriques & Co.

There's a high probability for the rains to disrupt the gameplay in the forthcoming T20. Bowlers, especially pacers, would look to capitalize on the overcast conditions although it is the batsmen who will dominate with their big-hitting potency.
The wicket at Sydney Cricket Ground has been a batters paradise with average 1st innings total being 166. Although rains are being depicted in the second innings, one could still bank on the batters to come up with impressive performances in the latter stages in case the play resumes.

Toss winning team should look to bowl first in the coming T20. Heavy outpour is being predicted throughout the second innings which could put a halt to the contest. With the DLS method coming into play, it would be advisable for the teams batting second to whack the deliveries out of the fence from the very moment.
Sydney Sixers had an unbeaten streak of five matches prior to the loss against Melbourne Stars in the recent outing. Sixers are fortunate to have players namely Josh Philippe, Daniel Hughes, Ben Dwarshuis, and Tom Curran enjoying a consistent run in the concurrent season, which could get them past the victory margin at SCG.
We are expecting Sydney Sixers to win!
