Sydney Sixers to win this game!

The countdown for the playoffs for the Big Bash League has already started and the Sydney Sixers have secured a berth for themselves by winning their last game. The side will now be playing the Melbourne Renegades in the next game and shall look to get into the playoffs with a win.
As for the Renegades after the kind of performance they have had this season the side will be more than happy to finish on the victorious side in the next game. It has been a season where things have gone from bad to worse for the Renegades and they have looked bad in form and application. Ten losses in twelve games speak for itself about the kind of form the side has been through. They have been short on confidence which was seen in the last game where they threw away a game they should have won. The kind of effort they put up in the next game will be interesting to see.

Moises Henriques would be very happy with the kind of form his side is in going into the playoffs. They won the last game against the Brisbane Heat convincingly and look in great form. The side had defeated the Melbourne Renegades earlier in the season and shall look to continue with the form in the next game.
Josh Phillippe and James Vince look in great form for the side at the top and they will look to do well in the next game. The middle-order has in-form players in Steven Smith, Daniel Hughes and Henriques. Jordan Silk and Tom Curran down the order complete a good batting line-up for the side.
Jackson Bird and Steve O’Keefe did well with the new ball in the last game and they shall look to continue their form. In Tom Curran, they have a bowler who has done well in the middle overs. Ben Dwarshuis and Nathan Lyon add strength to the bowling attack going into this game.

Aaron Finch returns to lead the side and will be expected to lead his team to the first win in the season as skipper. They lost the last one against Hobart Hurricanes by 4 runs after looking set for a good win in a high scoring game.
Sitting at the bottom of the points table the side will look to win the next game and restore some pride. They will need a good start from Marcus Harris and Aaron Finch. The pair has played poorly in the season so far. Shaun Marsh has been their best batsman and he will have to do well in the next game. Sam Harper, Daniel Christian, Beau Webster and Mohammad Nabi have done well with the bat in few games and they will have to play well as a batting unit to win the next game.
Their bowlers have fared poorly in the game. Kane Richardson’s return though strengthens the bowling for the side. But he will need good support from Jake Wildermuth with the new ball. The likes of Nabi, Cameron Boyce and Christian will need to keep the line tight in the middle overs.

There are prediction for rain and thunderstorms at Sydney on January 25. This will make batting a challenge on this surface which is always known to assist the bowlers. The side batting first would be happy to get a score above 150 on this surface.
Sydney Cricket Ground isn’t a typical high scoring venue for T20 games. Here batsmen struggle as the surface is two paced. Fast bowlers have done well with the new ball here and it is one of those rare venues in Australia where the spinners love to bowl thanks to the assistance they get from the surface.
The pitch at SCG has always been a tricky one to bat on and we have seen sides get out for extremely low scores. Given this most sides have preferred to chase on this wicket and hence we expect the side winning the toss to invite the opposition to bat and get them out early.
It is a game between two sides that have followed different trajectories in the season. While the Sydney Sixers have been in great form and have already earned a place in the playoffs of the season the defending champions Melbourne Renegades have had a season to forget.
Nothing has gone their way and given the form of the two sides we expect the Sydney Sixers to win the game.
