Sammy and Co. have shown some great all-round performances in this season. With the help of good all-rounders like R.Chase and Mohammed Nabi who are the key players in the team’s success, ZOUKS have booked a place in semis already. Although they have a good bowling department, they are struggling with their batting side throughout this season. Andre Fletcher and Rahkeem Cornwall, both are struggling to score big innings.
On the other side, Jamaica Tallawahs have also booked a place in semis and they are looking forward to beating ZOUKS for the second time in this season. The overall team's performance is highly dependent on the bowling department especially on the spin bowlers in which Mujeeb Ur Rahman has already delivered some good spells along with the talented spinner from Nepal, S. Lamichhane.
For ZOUKS, R. Chase has got some runs on board and in the bowling unit, Nabi and Kuggeleign have given remarkable spells. For JT, G. Phillips performed well with the bat, and Mujeeb and Lamichhane have been a perfect spin attack pair sharing 24 wickets in the team’s bowling unit.

Early in the tournament, after losing the first game against JT, ZOUKS won three consecutive matches against BT, STKNP, and GAW. Scoring quick 30’s with the bat and picking at least 2 wickets in these three matches, Mohammad Nabi has performed exceptionally well in the ZOUKS success. SC Kuggeleijn and Kesrick Williams also bowled remarkably in the previous games. Kuggeleijn is currently the second-best CPL 2020 bowler with 14 wickets from 9 games. The team’s winning streak ended against TKR due to the struggle in the batting unit and the team collapsed horribly on 111 only.
Against BT, ZOUKS batting struggled again and they scored just 92 runs on the board, but with the help of a brilliant spell from Jevelle Glen with 2 wickets for 11 runs in 3 overs and a spell from Kesrick Williams with 2 wickets for 12 runs from 3 overs, ZOUKS crushed the batting line up of BT and claimed 2 points against defending champions.
Yesterday, ZOUKS delivered a good bowling performance against TKR at the start but a partnership of 67 runs between Kiron Pollard and DJ Bravo took a total of TKR above par score of this ground. While chasing the target of 176, apart from a partnership of 59 runs between Fletcher and Deyal, ZOUKS batting collapsed once again causing a defeat against TKR for the 2nd time in this season. Now having just 1 last match from a league stage in hand Sammy and Co. are excited to end their league stage run on a happy note before playing semis.

For Tallawahs, Pakistan’s batsman Asif Ali made his CPL debut with a match-winning knock of 47 from 27 balls in their first game of the tournament against ZOUKS. But Tallawahs batting line up struggled a lot in the next 2 games against TKR and GAW causing 2 defeats for them in 2 consecutive matches. In the next game against GAW, Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s brilliant spell of 3 wickets for just 11 runs from 4 overs, and spell from Fidel Edwards with 3 wickets for 30 runs from 4 overs, dismantled Warriors.
With the bat, Glenn Phillips is the second-highest leading scorer in this season and smashed 265 runs from just 8 innings. Andre Russell is also playing his role with perfection by scoring 220 runs and 3 wickets with the ball in this season. But apart from Phillips' and Russell's few innings, no other batsmen from JT have scored a big knock in this tournament. The poor all-round performances of Powell and Carlos Brathwaite is also a great deal of concern for JT. After the first washed out of this season against STKNP on Thursday, JT and STKNP both have shared 1 point each which helped Tallawahs to be in the top four.
Yesterday, against BT, JT’s batting line up able to put 161 runs only on board with the help of Blackwood’s 74 from 59 balls and Russell’s 54 from just 28 balls. While defending this total, JT’s bowlers were not in good form, resulting in a defeat against defending champions.

On the match day, the weather at Tarouba is expected to be clear with periodic clouds. There are 17-20% chances of precipitation in the match. The daytime temperature can reach 31°c while the night time minimum temperature will be around 26°c.
The venue for this match is Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba which is a ground built-in 2017 to hold 15,000 people in a mix of fixed seating and grass banks.
The pitch at Brian Lara Stadium's ground is favourable to the spin bowlers. ZOUKS registered victory in the three games out of six that they played at this stadium whereas JT have a win percentage of 20% from 5 games. A total of 18 matches have been played on this ground in this year's CPL from which 8 matches have been won by the team who batted first and 9 matches have been won by the team who bowled first while one match got washed off. The average first innings score on this ground is 157.
It is recommended to field first after winning the toss.
Tallawahs' performance is of mixed type with some ups and lows in this tournament so far. Both the teams have been heavily dependent on their bowling units and both have very good spin attacks. Just going by the current tournament, the ZOUKS seem to have a slight edge over the Tallawahs.
We predict that St Lucia Zouks will defeat Jamaica Tallawahs.
