The match number 21 is between a team in the top half, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and a team in the bottom half, St Lucia Zouks. This is the second match between the sides in the group stage, St Kitts winning their first meeting comfortably. St Kitts were asked to bat in their previous game against Tallawahs. Lewis started the proceedings with a six of Russell, but the St Kitts openers stay were short-lived as the inform Thomas got out to Dwayne Smith off a loose drive and Lewis followed him by mistiming a pull. Evans steadied the ship with Hafeez as they completed the powerplay at 38/2. Hafeez was blazing with 4 boundaries in one over and a misjudged run cost them Evans wicket. Hafeez danced down to leggie for a six but fell the next over for a 25 ball 37. Wickets fell in a cluster as Brooks and skipper Brathwaite were seen son in the dug-out and they were reeling at 82 for 6. Just when the tide was turning Fabian Allen stepped up to score 4 boundaries against their trump card Zahir Khan. Cottoy and Allen dealt in boundaries as 18 runs came off the 17th over and Fabian reached his fifty of just 23 balls. Then came the long over of Dernbach filled with extras and some gutsy blows from the pair which took that over’s tally to 20 runs. A six by Cottoy pushed St Kitts over 170 as they ended up with a final score of 176/6, courtesy a 94-run stand between the pair. Sheldon Cottrell gave his trademark salute after bouncing out Gayle but was pounded by Phillips as his next 4 balls yielded 18 runs. With Phillips continuing to attack from one end, Alzarri Joseph removed his partners. Phillips reached his fifty and scored 17 runs off Brathwaite to take the total to 112/3 by 13 overs. Hafeez broke the partnership with the wicket of Imran and a golden duck for Russell meant that Phillips was the only man standing in St Kitts way. SKP camp was in jubilation as Cottoy removed Phillips for a brilliant 87. SKP soon wrapped up the innings as they won this see-saw battle by a margin of 20 runs to stay in the top half.
Zouks were asked to bat by the Knight Riders and there was action straight away with 2 boundaries from Fletcher and he fell to Ali Khan in the next over. Ingram announced himself with two mighty hits in the same over. With Ingram doing the bulk of run-scoring, Campbell struggled to score freely and eventually got out to Neesham. Grandhomme started positively with a couple of boundaries as they finished the powerplay at 55/2. Grandhomme dealt in singles and perished to Pollard trying to force things. Ingram reached his first fifty in this CPL. Cornwall hit a huge six of pollard before falling to a full and wide delivery from Pierre. It was expected to be a passing shower, but it rained enough to abandon the match.

They have played 6 games so far and they mind the 1 point against the second-ranked team Knight Riders. They need to win almost all their games to finish in the top four without depending on other results. They failed against the spin of Akeem Jordan in their previous game against the SNP and will be wary of their plans. It is all about their experienced players to step up and help their team to qualify. Key Players: Colin Ingram: He hasn’t had a great CPL by his standards, but he looks determined to make amends now. His 51 off 33 would help him regain his mojo in this shorter version. Colin De Grandhomme: He would love to bat up the order as he did against the Lankans in the T20 series. He is getting his chances and would love to convert one to a winning cause.

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots: They are placed in the top half of the table, but they have played a greater number of matches and they have 4 wins and 4 loses so far. They would like to grab wins from their couple of matches to make them clear favorites to play the eliminators. The team is performing well at the top and bottom, but they need their middle order to help them. They have little things to worry in their pace bowling with the likes of Cottrell, Joseph, and Emrit doing their duty. Allen needs to extend his services in bowling to make them strong favorites. Key Players: Mohammad Hafeez: He is the cog of their middle order and his 25-ball 37 would boost his confidence. But it is always his powerplay bowling which has brought him success throughout his career and his 13/1 in 4 overs is a proof of that. Fabian Allen: He has 191 runs so far in this tournament and the fact that he comes so far down the order but is still their second-leading run-scorer shows how crucial his hitting in the death overs has been.

Weather is expected to play a part as it washed out the previous game.
In the only game which produced result 170 runs were scored by BT and from the previous game it showed batsman always can enjoy this track.
With the weather on the cards, Team winning the toss would opt to chase the DLS target.
Patriots are high on confidence after pulling themselves from the jaws of defeat. They rescued themselves with bat and the ball. Such kind of performance will raise the team morale and their win already against Zouks is going to add to that. Time for Sammy’s men to create some upsets.
