Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors have played least number of matches in this tournament so far - seven. They will be playing against each other at home and away grounds and their first encounter in this season is at Port of Spain, Trinidad. While Guyana Amazon Warriors have managed to keep their sheet clean, Knight Riders have faced two defeats and one of their matches was washed out. After first four straight wins in the season, TKR faced a couple of defeats recently at the hands of STKNP and BT, but they must be looking forward to winning this home-match and gain the momentum again before the start of the playoffs.

Once table-toppers, TKR's two losses in the last three games put them at the third place in the points table. In the first four games, they were spotless like GAW, as they defeated STKNP, St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs (twice). They got the first jolt at Basseterre as STKNP defeated them in the super-over, despite scoring 216 runs batting first. Unfortunately, they had to share points with St Lucia Zouks in the next match due to rain. These two games affected their winning momentum as they faced another defeat against Barbados Tridents at Bridgetown.
In the match against BT, fielding first, Sunil Narine (4 overs 1 for 19) and Khary Pierre (4 overs 2 for 24) tried to control the run flow during overs 12-15. However, two hugely expensive overs from Ali Khan (24 runs in 18th over) and Neesham (25 runs in 19th over) took BT to 178 and then Pollard gave away 14 more runs in the last over. Chasing 193, their batsmen could build just two partnership of 30 or more runs as five of TKR batsmen succumbed to Hayden Walsh (5 for 19). Eventually, TKR lost the game by 63 runs. Though a win or a loss would not matter much here for TKR, they would want to keep up their good records against GAW, especially playing at home.
