Knight Riders are led by one of the enigmatic all-rounder Dwayne Bravo. He is one of the most experienced T20 players with more than 400 matches to his name. Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Lendl Simmons, and Denesh Ramdin will form the core of batting line-up as the local players and have experience of representing various T20 leagues. They will miss the services of Kiwi trio of Brendan McCullum, Colin Munro, and Jimmy Neesham. Brendon McCullum retired from all forms of cricket whereas Munro and Neesham will join the team in the second week owing to their national duties. Javon Searles, Pakistani Mohammed Hasnain, and USA`s Ali Khan are the pace bowlers expected to play in the starting XI. Sunil Narine will lead the spin bowling attack of the team and will look to bamboozle the batsmen. Impressive youngster Khary Pierre and Sri Lankan Seekuge Prasanna fill to share the spin bowling duties with the Sunil Narine and form a very potent spin attack. 

Key Players:

Ali Khan – Ali Khan had an excellent season last year picking up 16 wickets at an economy of just 7.8 RPO. He is one of the players from Associate nation United States to make a name for himself in the CPL.   

Kieron Pollard – Pollard has changed team form St.Lucia stars to Knight Riders this season. He scored 330 runs at a strike rate of 160 in the last season and scored a century and half-century last season.

Chris Gayle has left the team and joined Jamaica Tallawahs. Evin Lewis, Shamarh Brooks, Devon Thomas, Mohammed Hafeez, and Laurie Evans form an excellent batting line-up with a lot of experience between them. Sheldon Cottrell and Alzarri Joseph form a deadly combo in the fast bowling department and will look to rattle the opposition with pace and bounce. All-rounders Ryan Emrit, Fabian Allen and Skipper Brathwaite will add a lot of depth to both the bowling and batting departments. They look like a complete unit with a lot of match-winners in bowling and batting departments.

Evin Lewis – Evin Lewis is going through a rough patch with his batting in the international circuit. He will look to regain form and confidence with some good knocks in the CPL 2019 season.    

Sheldon Cottrell – Sheldon ‘Salute’ Cottrell, as he is fondly called, has grown leaps and bounds from the last season. He is making the right noises in the international circuit with his bowling.
