Kieron Pollard is leading the side at the moment in absence of Dwayne Bravo who is battling injury. The stand-in skipper has led the side from the front in both the games and would be happy with his side’s performance so far. He would want them to continue the same momentum as they go into the next game.
Lendl Simmons hasn’t fired yet at the top and would be looking to make it count in the upcoming game. Tion Webster and Sunil Narine look in great form going into the game. James Neesham too will be eager to do well in the next game. What makes the side strong is the presence of Pollard and Denesh Ramdin in the lower order and both these players have done well so far and come with great hitting abilities.
Sunil Narine has been impressive with the ball in both the game so far. Khary Pierre has done well with the ball and the duo will look to continue with their form going into the next game. Mohammad Hasnain, Seekkuge Prasanna, and Ali Khan will have to check the flow of runs going into the next game.

Daren Sammy would be extremely displeased with the performance of his side in the last game against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Having restricted them to a small total his batsmen let the side down. Sammy would be aware of the kind of record his side has against the Knight Riders and would be looking to turn it around in the next game.
The batting line-up looked jittery in the last game with Andre Fletcher and Andre McCarthy falling cheaply and they would need to do well in the next game. Rahkeem Cornwall and Najibullah Zadran did well in the last game and shall look to carry on with the same form. The side would expect a better show from Thisara Perera, Sammy and Christopher Barnwell in the next game.
The bowling attack is looking relatively strong with Perara and Kesrick Williams being in good form. Fawad Ahmed also bowled in the last game and troubled the opponents. The side would be hoping to see better bowling effort from Krishmar Santokie and Obed McCoy. The latter was expensive even though he picked up four wickets in the last game.

It is expected to be clear skies at Port of Spain on September 8th at Port of Spain. In the two games played so far the pitch has been perfect for batting. The ball is expected to come on to the bat nicely allowing batsmen to play their shots. The fast bowlers aren’t likely to get much support from the wicket and spinners would enjoy bowling in the second innings.
VENUE
Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad has been a batting-friendly wicket as far as T20 matches are concerned. The bounce and pace on the surface allow batsmen to free their arms with the shorter boundaries helping them. There isn’t much for the bowlers, though the spinners do well in the second innings.
The side batting first has won both the games played so far in this venue. The pitch is perfect to bat on in the first innings with very little support for the bowlers. The spinners are doing well in the second innings and we expect the captain winning the toss to bat first on this surface and aim at putting up a big total on the board.
Trinbago Knight Riders seem to be continuing with their form from the last season and in both the games played so far the side has looked brilliant both with the bat as well as the ball. St Lucia Zouks, on the other hand, didn’t start well in their first game where their batting looked completed rusted. The Trinbago Knight Riders are playing at home and with the kind of form they are in the side would definitely start as favorites for this game.
We are backing Trinbago Knight Riders for the win in the 5th Match of CPL 2019!
