Host West Indies will be looking to get their home season off to a good start against Sri Lanka in the opening game of the T20I series at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua on Wednesday.
All-rounder Kieron Pollard will lead the side for the upcoming three-match T20I series. Nicholas Pooran, Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Bravo and Jason Holder make their return to the T20I side after missing Bangladesh tour.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be looking to turn things around in the T20 format. The Islanders will need to put in a decent show with bat and ball in this series opener. All-rounder Angelo Matthews has been interim captain as Dasun Shanaka has not yet arrived in the Caribbean due to visa issues.

The home side will be looking to field their strongest XI for this opening game of the series. Shimron Hetymer, Oshane Thomas and Sheldon Cottrell failed to clear fitness Tests and were not picked for the T20I series.
In the batting department, the side will be relying on likes of Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard to deliver the bulk of the runs. Veteran opener Chris Gayle has shown excellent form in the few games played for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League. Left-hander will be looking to get off to a good start.
Besides Gayle, Skipper Kieron Pollard has been a consistent performer with the bat. Since May 2019, Pollard has topped the batting charts for West Indies in the T20 format. He accumulated 438 runs in 17 matches at an average of 48.66 with three half-centuries to his name.
Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Bravo and Jason Holder will make up the middle-order for West Indies.
In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Fidel Edwards, Obed McCoy and Jason Holder will provide crucial breakthroughs. Akeal Hossain, Kevin Sinclair and Fabian Allen will be prominent spinners for this three-match series.
