T&Cs apply, 18+
After the disappointment in the World Cup, hosts West Indies would take on India in the first T20i of the three-match series at Lauderhill, Florida. The Indian side also faced lot of flak from its fans after losing out in the semi-finals of the World Cup and has included several young players in the squad and would be looking to do well in the first game of the all-important tour.
The West Indian team has dominated over the Indians in this format of the game. Barring their poor show during the last tour of India they have always held the upper hand in this format of the game. It remains to be seen how the young Indian team meets the challenge that the West Indian team is likely to throw at them in the game.

Carlos Brathwaite is leading a team of proven T20 players. They are star packed T20 side that packs a great punch in their batting and has the longest batting line-up in the world. They have done well at home in recent years and the skipper would want all the players to play to their potential in the upcoming game.
They have a very strong batting line-up start with John Campbell and Evin Lewis at the top. The middle-order has several proven players including Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard in the side. Brathwaite, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell make it a very strong batting line-up toward the end.
It will be a big challenge for Sheldon Cottrell and Oshane Thomas against the strong batting line-up that India has. They have a good mix of bowlers in Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and the skipper Brathwaite and they would need to keep the line tight and pick the Indian top order early.

It is the first challenge for Virat Kohli’s side after their disappointing exit from the World Cup. The side has gone in with several new players and it would be a challenge for them against one of the strongest T20 sides in the world. Kohli would want his team to play to their potential and win the game.
The top order of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli would have to score the bulk of runs for the side as the middle order has its issues. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant along with Krunal Pandya and Manish Pandey will have to score quick runs and explore the weaknesses in the West Indian attack in the game.
Indian bowlers are going to be tested in the game. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to lead the inexperienced attack in the game and will hope to see good support from Khaleel Ahmed and Deepak Chahar, Krunal Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja will have to bowl well in the middle overs for the side.

There are predictions for rain at Florida on August 03 and this might make the batting little difficult on what is otherwise a good batting surface. The pitch is expected to be flat and the batsmen would enjoy hitting on the up. The side batting first would have to score 180 runs or more to feel comfortable here.
VENUE
Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida is a paradise for batsmen as the ball comes onto the bat nicely and there isn’t much for the bowlers. The shorter size of the ground makes it easy to hit the ball in the air and big scores are made and chased down at this venue.
Lauderhill, Florida is one of the best batting surfaces in the world and teams batting first have always managed to put up big scores on the board. We expect the skipper winning the toss to have no hesitation in their mind and choose to bat first and attempt to put up a big score on the board.
It is going to be a good battle between the two teams. They are packed with talent and would make the contest entertaining. India is experimenting with several young players and it would be interesting to see how they perform in the series. West Indies, on the other hand, has a very strong batting line-up and bats very deep. Given the kind of firepower, we predict West Indies to win the 1st T20I encounter!
