CRICBETTINGBUZZ PREDICTION: India to win the game!

It was a disappointing outing for the West Indian team in the 1st game of the three-match T20i series against India. Batting first the side could only manage 98 runs with their batting looking in terrible form. Indian win wasn’t convincing either as many of their batsmen got out to poor shots during the game which wouldn’t have made the camp happy.
West Indies’ batting approach in the game was strange given the kind of firepower they have. Indians having drawn the first blood in the series would be expected to come hard at them in the second game and would want to seal the series. How the hosts approach the game would interesting to see as Indians don’t have their best attack with key players having been rested for this series.

Carlos Brathwaite would be terribly upset with the performance of his team in the first game of the series. Their batting let them down while the bowlers weren’t able to apply the kind of pressure as was required defending a small total. The skipper would want his men to rise up to the challenge in the must-win game.
Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran were the only batsmen who occupied the crease in the last game as the rest of the batsmen couldn’t get to double-digit score. The side would need good batting performances from openers John Campbell and Evin Lewis. Shimron Hetmyer. Rovman Powel and Brathwaite himself would have to do well with the bat in the next game.
In the bowling department, Sunil Narine was the only bowler who threatened the Indian batsmen. Sheldon Cottrell also did well but the rest of the bowling attack that includes Oshane Thomas, Keemo Paul, and Brathwaite. They have to bowl tighter lines to trouble the strong batting line-up that India has.

It was a good tour opener for skipper Virat Kohli and his men. The bowlers did a fine job in the game but the batting line-up’s performance wouldn’t have impressed the skipper as many of them threw their wickets away. Kohli would know that the West Indian team would come hard at them and would want his team to play good cricket.
Shikhar Dhawan missed out in the last game while Rohit Sharma played well before getting out to a poor shot. Kohli also did well and so did Manish Pandey. Rishab Pant will have to improve his shot selection. Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar add strength to the side’s batting.
Indian bowlers impressed in the last game especially Navdeep Saini and Khaleel Ahmed with their line and length. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also bowled in the game. The spinners Jadeja and Pandya were also on the money during the game and the skipper would want them to continue with their form in the next game.

It would be slightly cloudy skies over Florida on August 04. The pitch in the last game wasn’t an easy one to bat on with the ball stopping a bit and we expect almost the same kind of wicket in the next one where batsmen would have to patiently build their innings. A score of 150 plus runs would be a fighting total on this surface.
VENUE
Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida has usually been a good batting wicket but the last game was a deviation from the norm. The boundaries are short and this makes batting easy. Spinners have done well on this surface in the past and they would be looking to do the same in the next game.
In the last game at Lauderhill, Florida we have seen batting conditions to be difficult. Also, there is a forecast of cloudy conditions and this would make it a pitch difficult to bat on in the early overs and we expect the side winning the toss to choose bowling.
The first game of the series wasn’t the kind of encounter that the crowds would have loved seeing with batsmen on both sides struggling to time the ball. West Indian team had a horrid day with the bat and they would be looking to make amends in the next game. Indian bowlers impressed in the game and this would make the visitors slightly ahead of the hosts going into this game.
We predict for India to win and seal the series!
