Batting first the side could only manage 98 runs with their batting looking in terrible form. Indian win wasn’t convincing either as many of their batsmen got out to poor shots during the game which wouldn’t have made the camp happy.

Carlos Brathwaite would be terribly upset with the performance of his team in the first game of the series. Their batting let them down while the bowlers weren’t able to apply the kind of pressure as was required defending a small total. The skipper would want his men to rise up to the challenge in the must-win game.
Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran were the only batsmen who occupied the crease in the last game as the rest of the batsmen couldn’t get to double-digit score. The side would need good batting performances from openers John Campbell and Evin Lewis. Shimron Hetmyer. Rovman Powel and Brathwaite himself would have to do well with the bat in the next game.
In the bowling department, Sunil Narine was the only bowler who threatened the Indian batsmen. Sheldon Cottrell also did well but the rest of the bowling attack that includes Oshane Thomas, Keemo Paul, and Brathwaite. The bowlers did a fine job in the game but the batting line-up’s performance wouldn’t have impressed the skipper as many of them threw their wickets away.
