The fifth match of the T-20 tri-series that involves Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will be played between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Afghanistan side has already secured the placed in finals following their remarkable victory in the last game against Bangladesh. The Afghan side is undefeated in the Tri-series as they won their earlier two games. In the previous game, batting first, they were in a spot of bother but after that formidable knock of Nabi, they never give the opportunity to Bangladesh to come back in the game. Nabi smashed 84 runs in just 54 balls. Overall, Afghanistan team looks very strong and balanced as they got depth in batting and also quality spinners in the unit. Though Afghanistan already qualified for the finals and results of this match won't matter much, they would be looking to win and keep the momentum with them for the finals.
On the contrary, Zimbabwe team have lost their first three matches and have already crashed out of the tri-nation series. They would be very disappointed with their performance so far in the tri-series. In the previous game, they lost to the host nation by 39 runs. While chasing the target of 176, Zimbabwe team were 8/3 in no time, which later went on to become 66/7 and it became impossible from there for the visitors. Skipper Hamilton Masakadza’s will be playing his last international game and the teammates would be hoping to give the veteran a fitting farewell. Zimbabwe’s batting has been a bit of a concern, especially at the top. Skipper Masakadza got a good start in earlier games but failed to convert it to the big one. He would want to sign it off in grand note. Their pivotal player Sean Williams has been very awful with the bat, scored just four runs from three games. This is Zimbabwe’s final game in the tri-series and will hope to sign off on a high.

Zimbabwe’s top-order batsmen look very ordinary and their poor form has been the major reason for their failure in the ongoing series. In batting, the side is depending on their top-order batsmen, Craig Ervine and Brendon Tayor. The batting duo failed quickly in the earlier games and they would be looking to contribute with the bat and score most of the runs in last game of the series. RP Burl has been the leading scorer for the side, scored 83 runs from last three games that also includes one impressive fifty-plus score.
Sean Williams, who is currently fifth-ranked all-rounder in T-20 ranking has been in awful form in the series. He scored only four runs from three games. He is a vital cog in Zimbabwe batting line-up and his contribution will be very vital in the last game.

In batting, Hazratullah has underperformed a wee bit and he’ll be keen to get his rhythm back. Rashid has been spot-on, both in bowling and captaincy. Hence, we anticipate the team winning toss will definitely wish to bat first at this venue.
Afghanistan team got a great bunch of young and experienced player in the side. Besides, they also possess top T-20 ranked bowler and second-ranked all-rounder in the side. This duo is the biggest barrier for any opponent. On the other hand, Zimbabwe side relying very heavily on their top-order batsmen who have failed to perform in the series. Furthermore, Statistically, Zimbabwe never won the T-20 games versus Afghanistan. Hence the Afghanistan team is the favourites to win this game.
